June Open Weekend

Tees Cottage Pumping Station opened their doors to the public on 25th and 26th June and 488 people took the opportunity to see the Beam Engine and Boilers and the Gas Engine in operation.

The Blacksmiths were also in attendance, demonstrating their art and producing key rings, snails, hanging baskets, wine racks etc for sale to the public.

The Cottage kitchen did its usual roaring trade satisfying the appetites and thirsts of many of the visitors to such an extent that, on Saturday, extra supplies had to be brought in!

On each Open Weekend this year the Crafty Painters have brought along their craft stall featuring craft goods they have made and also their very popular tombola. Much of the income on this stall is donated to charity so a visit is well worthwhile.

On Saturday the Micro Maniacs car club brought along thirty or so of their small cars. The members were more than willing to show the cars and provide a very interesting history of the various models on display.
